The room was pleasantly appointed and very clean. The friendly staff, especially the young lady at the bar, made for a welcoming atmosphere.

The staff were friendly and cute.
I stayed for one night and found the bed dreadfully uncomfortable. The mattress was worn out and did not provide any support, leading to a poor night’s sleep. I was misinformed about dining options, which left us having to settle for dreadful takeout instead of a proper meal.

Pleasant Stay Despite Minor Issues
Enjoyed a comfortable night in a well-appointed room, though a bit of paint refreshing would enhance the ambiance. The onsite restaurant served delicious meals, making dining easy and enjoyable. Pro tip, inquire about daily specials to enhance your dining experience!

Cozy pub vibes with great meals
We spent a night here, and it was alright. Rooms were small and seriously needed new mattresses – felt like my back was a war zone! But on the bright side, the meals in the bar area were really nice. shower holder was broken, so I had to get creative. Nice outdoor space tho.

A cozy local gem
Needed a spot for a funeral, and the staff were just fab! Greeted like old mates, they even remembered to ask about the service the next day. The bar/lounge area felt friendly, but there was a bit too much 80s pop for my taste. Still, it’s a great place to experience the heart of the north east.

The vibe at Grey Horse is top-notch with a lively bar bringing a proper buzz to the place. The friendly staff make you feel right at home! Plus, it's situated conveniently close to local eats, if you're keen on sampling the neighborhood's charm.
Sadly, the mattress was worn-out, leading to a night of tossing and turning. Given the mix-up about dining options, we ended up with mediocre chippy fare instead of a proper meal.

missingWrote a review on 29 Maynoisy environment
The pub atmosphere spills over into the hotel, creating a noticeable noise level, especially later in the evening, which may not be suitable for those seeking quiet. On top of that, the bathroom in my room had mold around the shower and dirty mugs left on the service tray, which didn't leave a great impression. While the cozy pub vibe can be appealing, it might detract from the overall experience for some guests who prefer a cleaner and quieter environment.

The room had a solid ambiance with a rustic vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Proximity to the local nightlife means if you’re looking for a night out, it’s right at your doorstep without having to wander far.
The shower was sporadic at best, with cold water that put a damper on waking up. The noise from the pub below was relentless, especially with rowdy locals coming and going. A fresh coat of paint could really spruce up the guest rooms, giving them a more inviting feel.
